These Terms of Use apply to SideThread, a mobile app and related service that helps surface useful context during live conversations. By using SideThread, you agree to these terms.
App License
SideThread is licensed, not sold. Unless a separate custom license is provided in App Store Connect, your use of the iOS app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Using SideThread
You are responsible for how you use SideThread, including whether it is appropriate to use live transcription or conversation-assist features in a particular setting. Do not use SideThread unlawfully, to infringe anyone's rights, or to capture conversations where you do not have the permissions required by applicable law.
Accounts
SideThread may require Sign in with Apple to use app features. You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple account secure. You can request account deletion from inside the app.
AI Output
SideThread can generate compact answers from conversation context. Those answers may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. You should not rely on SideThread as a substitute for professional, legal, medical, financial, emergency, or safety-critical advice.
Subscriptions
If SideThread offers paid subscriptions, pricing, trial terms, renewal behavior, cancellation, and refund handling are governed by the App Store purchase flow and Apple's account and billing systems. Subscription features may require an active entitlement.
Service Changes
SideThread may change, suspend, or discontinue features over time. The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, network issues, third-party service outages, or other operational problems.
Privacy
The SideThread Privacy Policy explains how the app and backend handle data.
